God brought us to our adoption one small step at a time. Many times in our marriage we had felt the nudges towards adoption but every time we had pursued them the doors would be shut and we would just say maybe in the future. It wasn't until the end of 2017 that the doors for adoption finally opened, shortly after we had decided our family was complete.

When God started opening the doors for adoption we were very content as a family of three, we didn't have much saved up for the adoption, and we were completely cluele...

Our first adoption journey was 3 years long and filled with heartache, loss and pain. Our second journey was equally as painful but only 18 months of waiting. I longed to hold my daughters so deeply that it hurt to breathe at times but I never ever lost sight of the fact that somewhere out there were MY babies and they needed us as much as we needed them. However the weeks rolled into months and the months into years and we daily learned to rest in the fact that the Lord had us in His hands.  With both of our daughters...

We knew that making an adoption plan would be an emotional decision for an expectant mother. Actually witnessing the raw pain of our son's birth mom was an experience that will live in our hearts forever. Without a doubt, we knew that she made her decision with love... She loved him so much that she was willing to allow us to be his parents, to give him the life

she wanted for him, but couldn't provide herself. While at the hospital, we had several days to share thoughts, diaper changes, feedings, and honest answers to...

With each of our adoption journeys my relationship to our heavenly Father has grown. Our very first adoption experience is one of my favorite memories of God’s faithfulness in our lives. It was the last day of the month of April in 2008. Months earlier, I thought I had heard God tell me that our baby would be born in April. And as the month started coming to an end, friends told me that maybe April meant something different. One even mentioned that maybe April was the month of conception of my child. This wasn’t comfort...

We hoped to share the power of the gospel through adoption, but in reality the magnitude of the gospel was shared with us a hundred times over. God's mercy, provision and love had never been so real as it was in the face of loss. His strength and faithfulness never so apparent as it is every time we look at our sons.

Adoption is love like we've never known. It is selfless, risky, and beautiful for every person involved. It was the reason God gave His Son. It was the reason we received ours.

Seven years ago, we thought our family was complete after having three biological children, but God had other plans. Since that time we have been foster parents, and we have adopted both domestically and internationally. Looking back we can clearly see the paths the Lord ordained that brought us to our youngest son and daughter.

For us adoption means we don't run away from the brokenness in the world but instead choose to embrace it. Our biological children don't see people of color or people with disabilities as strang...

I am a single Mom and adopted my son from a cousin who was not in a place to raise another child. My Mom and I were in the delivery room with my cousin when he was born and he’s been my heart ever since! He is 5 years old now and is my everything! We are not the typical family or adoption story, but God had his hand in our entire story and I am truly blessed to be his Mama!

I’m really not even sure how to put into words what adoption has taught me. The two words that immediately pop into mind related to adoption are l...

When I was dealing with infertility, I remember thinking of adoption as second best, and as though I would be a failure if I had to adopt and couldn't have biological children. When I started the process, I was still a little hesitant.

Once I met my son's birth mom, that opinion changed. Seeing how she loved her son selflessly enough to give him to someone who could care for him the way he needed showed me the beauty of adoption. It showed me that adoption isn't a backup plan, but an amazing gift.

It's a beautifu...

We are a family of 7! Yes, I said 7! We have five children, 4 adopted and 1 surprise biological. Our kids are 16, 6, 3, 2, and 1.

When I hear the word "adoption" my heart just leaps! I love everything about it, from the selfless story of the sweetest birth mom's, to the moment we held our little ones in our arms for the first time, to the growing relationships we have with two of the birth mom's.

When others hear the word "adoption" they most likely think about the cost, the paperwork, the long journey it takes. After 4...

We were told it would take at least 2 years to get our baby, so we were starting to save up, but thought we had a lot of time. Instead, it only took 7 months from start to finish!

It was amazing to get her so soon, but the financial stress was heavy. We decided to look at all options, including taking out some of my husband’s 401K.  Apparently they won’t even let you consider borrowing from your self at his company without the president’s approval. When he saw the request, he called my husband into his office and asked...
